Current compensation status: As of the effective date, this site does not contain active affiliate links, paid referral forms, sponsor links, product-shopping links, quote-comparison calls to action, or paid placements.
We are evaluating potential affiliate and referral relationships. No company—including any marketplace, installer, manufacturer, utility, or affiliate network—should be treated as an approved advertiser, sponsor, or current partner unless that relationship is stated clearly next to the relevant link or form.
Purpose, publisher, and relationship to the solar industry
Solar Sense With Trent is a homeowner-education publication operated by Cash is King Marketing LLC. We publish explanations, questions, checklists, examples, and commentary intended to help people examine residential solar proposals, electric-bill assumptions, roofs, batteries, financing, equipment, and local-rule questions.
Solar Sense is not a utility, government agency, tax authority, solar installer, electrical contractor, engineering firm, inspection company, equipment manufacturer, lender, insurance company, law firm, or consumer-reporting agency. We do not install systems, approve interconnections, issue permits, determine tax eligibility, guarantee financing, or make final site-specific design decisions.
A link to, mention of, or potential compensated relationship with another organization does not create a utility, government, agency, employment, joint-venture, professional, or fiduciary relationship unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
Educational information only
Site content is general educational information. It is not a personalized recommendation to buy, lease, finance, install, remove, repair, or select a solar, battery, roofing, electrical, or energy product or service. It is not a substitute for reading the complete proposal, contract, financing documents, warranties, equipment specifications, utility tariffs, program rules, permits, inspection results, and other documents that apply to your property.
You remain responsible for evaluating whether any product, company, quote, financing structure, referral service, or project is appropriate for your circumstances.
Professional-advice boundaries
Nothing on this site is legal, tax, accounting, investment, financial-planning, lending, insurance, real-estate, electrical, structural-engineering, architectural, roofing, inspection, permitting, utility, cybersecurity, safety, or site-specific design advice.
Questions involving your contract, financing, lien or title terms, tax eligibility, roof condition, structure, wiring, service panel, battery placement, fire code, insurance, permits, utility account, rate plan, interconnection, equipment compatibility, or safety should be reviewed by the appropriate qualified professional and official source.
No guaranteed savings, production, approval, or performance
Residential solar outcomes vary materially. They may depend on location, weather, shading, roof orientation and condition, electricity usage and timing, utility rates and tariffs, export compensation, fixed charges, system design, equipment, degradation, maintenance, downtime, installer performance, ownership, financing, insurance, taxes, incentives, permitting, interconnection, and future changes outside anyone's control.
Solar Sense does not guarantee:
- bill elimination, savings, payback period, return on investment, home value, production, or export credits;
- tax credits, rebates, incentives, program eligibility, financing approval, rates, or payment amounts;
- permit or interconnection approval, project timing, equipment availability, or installer performance;
- battery runtime, whole-home backup, outage coverage, equipment compatibility, or warranty coverage; or
- that any marketplace, installer, product, quote, or proposal will be available or suitable for you.
Avoid treating phrases such as “estimated savings,” “potential,” “typical,” “average,” “eligible,” or “may qualify” as a promise about your home.
Changing information and source dates
Tax rules, incentives, utility tariffs, export programs, rates, product specifications, prices, warranties, eligibility rules, financing offers, affiliate programs, and availability can change without notice. Content may become outdated after its stated source or review date.
When a page uses a current claim, the source and checked date should be considered part of the claim. Verify the latest information with the controlling source—such as the utility, government or program administrator, manufacturer, lender, insurer, installer, or written contract—before relying on it. Information from one state, utility, rate plan, property, or program should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.
Examples, estimates, worksheets, and calculators
Example numbers, diagrams, checklists, calculations, worksheets, and scenarios are simplified teaching tools. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, they are not bids, engineering models, tax calculations, utility forecasts, production guarantees, financial projections, or account-specific results.
Every meaningful example depends on its assumptions. Bill examples should identify usage, rate-plan details, fixed charges, export treatment, ownership, financing, and source dates. Battery examples should identify the load list, usable-capacity assumption, output limits, configuration, and outage scenario. Quote examples should identify cash and financed prices, term, rate, fees, exclusions, responsibilities, warranties, and source dates.
Quote, comparison, and marketplace services
A quote marketplace or comparison tool may connect users with third-party companies, installers, lenders, manufacturers, or service providers. Solar Sense does not control a third party's quote, screening process, availability, communications, licensing, pricing, representations, contract, workmanship, warranties, data practices, or performance.
Receiving multiple quotes can provide additional information, but the number of quotes does not establish that a proposal is accurate, complete, competitive, or suitable. Investigate the relevant companies, confirm licenses and insurance where applicable, read all written terms, compare both cash and financed prices, and verify proposal assumptions before signing.
Submitting information to a third-party marketplace is optional and is governed by that service's own privacy policy, terms, consent language, and operating practices.
Affiliate and referral compensation
If approved affiliate or referral relationships are activated, Cash is King Marketing LLC may receive money, commission, referral credit, free or discounted products, services, or another benefit when a visitor clicks a link, submits information, registers, requests a quote, makes a purchase, or completes another qualifying action.
When compensation or another material relationship is relevant, we will place a plain-language disclosure close to the recommendation, link, button, form, or content—not only on this page. A typical disclosure may say: “Solar Sense may earn compensation if you use this link or request a connection through this form.” The exact language will reflect the actual relationship.
The label “affiliate link” by itself may not explain the financial relationship clearly enough. We intend to state that compensation may be earned. The Federal Trade Commission advises that affiliate relationships be disclosed clearly and conspicuously and that the disclosure be close to the recommendation or link. See the FTC's Endorsement Guides guidance.
Compensation can create a potential conflict of interest. A compensated link does not prove that a provider or product is the best, least expensive, highest quality, independent, comprehensive, or appropriate choice. You are free to ignore compensated links and access the site's educational material without using them.
Lead forms, information transfers, calls, texts, and email
The site does not currently operate an active quote-request or paid-lead transfer form. If one is activated, the form must explain before submission:
- who will receive the information or how the recipient category is defined;
- what information will be transferred and why;
- whether Cash is King Marketing LLC may be compensated;
- the type of follow-up the user is requesting; and
- any separate authorization requested for telephone calls, automated or prerecorded calls, text messages, or marketing email.
Consent must be affirmative and displayed with the form; it will not be inferred merely because someone visited the site, read this disclosure, or sent a general email. Any calling or messaging consent, recipient list, and required wording must be reviewed against the current program terms and applicable federal and state rules before launch.
A referral submission is not an application, approval, contract, guarantee of contact, or promise of a particular quote. You may revoke future communications directly with the contacting party using the methods that party provides and may also contact Solar Sense about information handled directly by us.
Sponsorships, free products, and paid placements
If content is sponsored, paid for, supplied with a free or discounted product, or influenced by another material relationship, that relationship should be disclosed clearly in or near the relevant content. We will not describe content as independent, unbiased, or unsponsored when that description would be misleading.
Sponsor review of sponsor-specific facts, when it occurs, does not convert the sponsor into the publisher of the full educational piece and does not eliminate the need to verify current claims. Product names, logos, and examples remain the property of their respective owners; their appearance does not establish endorsement by either side.
Editorial approach and independence
Our editorial goal is homeowner-first, no-hype, comparison-oriented education. Compensation does not remove our obligation to identify assumptions, distinguish examples from results, refresh time-sensitive claims, and disclose material relationships.
However, no publisher is free from judgment or potential bias. The existence of a commercial relationship should be considered when evaluating content. Readers should compare independent sources and controlling documents instead of relying on a single article, video, link, or personality.
Reviews, rankings, testimonials, and user experiences
Any testimonial, review, case study, homeowner story, rating, or quoted experience reflects the circumstances described and is not a promise that others will receive the same result. Material relationships with a reviewer or featured party should be disclosed where relevant.
We will not publish “best,” “top,” ranking, or comparative superiority claims without explaining the comparison basis and reviewing current support. Editorial selections may be incomplete and should not be treated as a comprehensive market survey.
External links, trademarks, and third-party responsibility
External links are provided for education, reference, convenience, or an expressly disclosed commercial purpose. Solar Sense is not responsible for third-party content, availability, accessibility, privacy, security, claims, offers, products, services, or changes made after linking.
Company, product, service, utility, program, and trademark names belong to their respective owners. Their use for identification or commentary does not imply sponsorship, authorization, certification, partnership, or endorsement.
Reliance, availability, and limitation of responsibility
Use of the site and reliance on its content are at your own judgment and risk. Content is provided on an “as available” educational basis. To the extent permitted by law, Solar Sense With Trent and Cash is King Marketing LLC disclaim warranties that the site or content will be complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Nothing in this disclosure excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. This page is intended to explain the site's role and commercial relationships; it is not legal advice and is not a substitute for terms that may be required for a specific transaction or service.
Updates, corrections, and contact
We may update this disclosure when relationships, site features, content practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. A material relationship should also be disclosed at the relevant content or call to action even if this page has not yet been revisited.
To report an unclear disclosure, outdated claim, factual error, or undisclosed relationship, email [email protected].
