Quote Clinic

Separate the quote from the assumptions.

Solar quotes are easier to understand when the proposal is broken into assumptions, line items, exclusions, and source dates.

Quote Clinic is an educational checklist. It is not contract review, engineering review, financial recommendation, professional endorsement, or site-specific advice.

What to compare

The goal is not to prove a quote is good or bad from one number. The goal is to understand what the quote assumes and what needs verification before a homeowner signs.

Proposal inputs

System size, equipment list, production estimate, included work, excluded work, and source dates for program or utility details.

Money terms

Cash price, financed price, term, rate, payment assumptions, dealer-cost language, escalators, or fees if listed.

Scope questions

Roof, electrical, permitting, utility application, monitoring, removal and reinstall language, and who is responsible for each part.

Coverage language

Read who is responsible for each promise, what exclusions apply, and whether labor, equipment, production, or roof work are treated differently.
