What is active today: This is an educational website hosted through Cloudflare. It uses Google Analytics, Google-hosted fonts, and Google Workspace email. The site currently has email links but no account system, bill-upload tool, quote-request form, active affiliate link, or active lead-transfer form.
If a quote, referral, newsletter, affiliate, advertising, or document-upload feature is activated, this policy and the notice shown where information is collected must be updated before launch.
Scope and operator
This policy applies to information handled by Cash is King Marketing LLC through Solar Sense With Trent at solarsensetrent.com and through direct messages sent to the public contact address. In this policy, “Solar Sense,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Solar Sense With Trent and Cash is King Marketing LLC.
This policy does not control the independent privacy practices of utilities, installers, manufacturers, quote marketplaces, affiliate networks, social platforms, or other websites and services you choose to visit.
Information we collect
Information you provide directly
If you email us, we receive the information included in your message, such as your name, email address, message content, and any other information you choose to provide. We use that information to review and respond to your request, maintain appropriate business records, and protect the site and its users.
Please do not email or otherwise submit utility account numbers, Social Security numbers, payment-card or bank information, tax records, full contracts, copies of identification, passwords, medical information, precise account credentials, or other sensitive information. Email is not a secure document-transfer system.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, the site and its service providers may automatically process technical and usage information, including:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address and approximate location derived from it;
- browser type, operating system, device category, language, and screen information;
- referring and exit pages or links;
- pages viewed, dates and times, session activity, and general interaction events;
- cookie identifiers and similar technical identifiers; and
- security, routing, performance, request, and error-log information.
Google states that a default Google Analytics implementation collects user counts, session statistics, approximate geolocation, and browser and device information. Google Analytics may use a first-party _ga cookie to distinguish users and sessions. See Google's Google Analytics data-collection description.
Information from future forms
If we later add a contact, newsletter, quote, comparison, or referral form, the fields may include information such as your name, email address, telephone number, ZIP code or general service area, home-ownership status, type of service requested, and homeowner-provided project details. The exact fields, recipient, purpose, and contact authorization must be shown next to the form before you submit it. We will not treat the existence of this policy as blanket permission to transfer a future lead.
How we use information
We may use information within the scope described above to:
- operate, deliver, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the site;
- understand site traffic, page performance, and general content usage;
- respond to questions, correction requests, and business inquiries;
- develop and improve educational content, navigation, and site features;
- detect spam, misuse, fraud, malicious activity, or technical problems;
- maintain records reasonably necessary for operational, compliance, and dispute purposes;
- comply with law and protect rights, safety, property, and site integrity; and
- if a future referral feature is activated, carry out the specific introduction or information transfer that you request after receiving the notice presented with that feature.
We do not use an email asking for general information as permission to submit your details to a solar installer or quote marketplace.
Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies
Google Analytics is installed on the site using measurement ID G-4KRCH0JL0J. It helps us understand aggregate traffic and interaction patterns. Google and your browser may store or read cookies or similar identifiers for this purpose. Google processes that information under its own terms and privacy practices.
You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site or measurement functions. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. That add-on applies to Google Analytics measurement and does not prevent all site or service-provider processing.
The site also loads fonts from Google. When your browser requests those files, Google may receive connection and device information such as your IP address and browser information. Review the Google Privacy Policy for Google's practices.
How we disclose or share information
We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:
- Hosting, delivery, and security: Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery, routing, and security services and may process IP addresses, traffic-routing data, system configuration information, and related request information. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Analytics and web resources: Google supports site analytics and web fonts.
- Email: Google Workspace processes messages sent to our public email address.
- Professional support: We may disclose information to professional advisers or contractors who need it to provide legal, accounting, security, technical, or operational assistance and are expected to handle it appropriately.
- Legal, safety, and enforcement: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, lawful process, or governmental requests; enforce applicable terms; investigate abuse; or protect rights, safety, property, and site integrity.
- Business changes: Information may be transferred as part of a merger, sale, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of some or all business assets, subject to applicable law.
- At your direction: We may disclose information to a specifically identified third party when you knowingly request that connection after receiving the relevant notice.
We do not currently sell or rent the contents of direct emails, submit email contacts to solar providers, or operate an active paid-lead transfer form. Technical data is processed by the providers described above. If the site's practices materially change, the applicable notice must be updated before the new use begins.
Future affiliate, quote, and referral forms
Solar Sense may later link to or work with an approved quote marketplace, comparison service, installer-matching service, affiliate network, or referral partner. Cash is King Marketing LLC may receive compensation for a click, registration, qualified lead, purchase, or another action if an approved relationship becomes active.
Before any form on this site transfers personal information for that purpose, the form must identify or clearly describe the intended recipient, the information being transferred, the reason for the transfer, the expected type of follow-up, and any consent requested for calls, texts, or email. Consent must be presented with the form and not hidden only in this policy. Access to the site's educational content will not require submitting a referral form.
Once you leave this site or submit information directly on a third party's website, that third party's privacy policy, terms, and consent language apply. A referral does not guarantee that you will receive a quote, qualify for a program, save money, find an installer, or receive particular financing, equipment, pricing, or project terms.
Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to communications, operating and securing the site, maintaining business and compliance records, resolving disputes, and satisfying legal obligations. Retention periods differ by information type and service-provider configuration.
Direct emails may remain in business email systems and backups until they are no longer reasonably needed. Analytics and technical logs are retained according to our configuration and the relevant provider's controls. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove copies from security, disaster-recovery, or legally required backups.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the site and information involved. No website, email system, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for choosing what you send and should not use this site or email for sensitive records or urgent, professional, or emergency assistance.
Your privacy choices and requests
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access to or correction or deletion of that information, obtain a copy, or object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw a consent for future processing where the processing depends on consent.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request.” Describe the request and the information or interaction involved. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting, and we may retain information when permitted or required by law. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.
You may stop future marketing email from us by using the unsubscribe method in the message or by contacting us. The site does not currently operate a newsletter or marketing-email subscription. Requests concerning information collected directly by a third party must generally be directed to that third party.
Children's privacy
This site is general homeowner education and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information directly to us, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
United States processing
Solar Sense is operated in the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
Third-party links and services
The site may link to utilities, government resources, manufacturers, social platforms, installers, quote tools, marketplaces, products, or other third-party services. A link does not make that service part of Solar Sense and does not mean we control its privacy, security, accuracy, availability, or business practices. Review the third party's privacy notice and terms before providing information.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy when site tools, providers, legal requirements, or business practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to later interactions, but it does not create retroactive consent where the law requires a separate choice.
For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected]. This policy is intended to describe our practices accurately; it is not legal advice to site visitors.
